Start with the requirement

Choose the credential your employer or school expects.

The course name matters. A general request for “CPR certification” may mean AHA Heartsaver for a teacher, coach or workplace responder, while a nurse, EMT, dental professional or clinical student may be required to complete AHA BLS Provider. Check the exact wording before you register.

AHA Heartsaver CPR, AED & First AidCommon for childcare, education, fitness, workplace and community requirements. Scheduled classes are $60.

Prepare for a hands-on class.

Use your confirmation to verify the course name, training location, date and start time. Plan enough travel time to find the room and check in before instruction begins. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to practice CPR skills on floor-level manikins.

  • Confirm whether you need Heartsaver, Initial BLS, BLS Renewal or HeartCode.
  • Use the Phoenix or Tucson address shown in your registration details.
  • For blended learning, complete the online modules before your in-person assessment and bring your completion certificate.
  • Request cancellation or rescheduling at least 24 hours before the scheduled class time.

Plan renewal without losing flexibility.

Do not wait until an employer or school deadline to look for a class. If you are eligible for BLS Renewal, you may still choose an Initial BLS class when its date or time works better. Both options remain separate on the booking calendar so the requirement and schedule are clear.

Coordinate training for a group.

Before requesting on-site training, estimate the number of participants, preferred dates, location, industry and the certification your organization actually requires. Most group programs use LP Health Directions certification; we confirm the credential type while planning the training.
